3 Day Workshops

After completing our casting workshop, each student will be able to apply a short arm cast, thumb spica cast, long arm cast, munster cast, short leg cast, short leg walking cast, long leg cast, PTB cast. They will also be able to apply short arm splint, long arm splint, thumb spica splints, sugar tong splint, radial gutter splint, ulnar gutter splint, and a short leg splint.

Each student in our casting workshop will have a good understanding of the principles behind each fiberglass cast and all upper and lower extremity splints that he/she will be applying.

Each student will have the ability to recognize problem areas in both casting and splinting and the know how to fixing the common problems with both.

Each student will be able to go over proper cast care instructions with thier patients.

They will have the confidence and the know how for each cast and splint they learn at our casting workshop.

You will have the skills to remove each cast from the upper extremity casts to all the lower extremity casts. Also be able to effectively remove all upper extremity splints as well as lower extremity splints.

Or Casting and splinting workshops are small enough that you will get the individual attention you need to be successful in casting and splinting. We take pride in our work and it really shows when you have completed our Casting and Splinting Workshop.

In our Casting Workshop, you will be wrapping 2 short arm casts, 2 thumb spica casts, 2 long arm casts, 2 munster casts, 2 short leg casts, 2 short leg walking casts, 2 long leg casts, and 2 PTB casts. Now after you have wrapped all those casts, you will be able to wrap whatever you feel you need to work on. Now each cast you apply, you will also be removing. The nice thing about this workshop, is that you really do get what you pay for. You will definately learn how to wrap a fiberglass cast.

Now in the splinting part of our workshop you will be wrapping a plaster short arm splint, fiberglass short arm splint, plaster thumb spica splint, fiberglass thumb spica splint, plaster radial gutter splint, fiberglass radial gutter splint, plaster ulnar gutter splint, fiberglass ulnar gutter splint, plaster long arm splint, fiberglass long arm splint, plaster sugartong splint, fiberglass sugartong splint, plaster short leg splint, and a fiberglass short leg splint. Remember we will be wanting you to wrap 2 plaster splints then 2 fiberglass splints. You will really get a workout.

Everything you learn in our Casting and Splinting Workshop comes from all my years of experience. Each one of my casts and splints have been modified or tweeked to prevent patients from coming back to the office the next day with cast problems.
